  12.         REALTY SHOWCASE is a graphical home locating program that uses 256
  13.       gray scale color scanned (B/W) images & pertinent data, to advertise
  14.       exclusive homes around the country. Our service was designed so that
  15.       anyone having access to computers with the proper hardware, can view
  16.       photos of homes that are for sale  from any state in the country, by
  17.       people who have purchased Ad space through our service.
  18.  
  19.         It is exactly like purchasing Ad space  thru your local classified
  20.       Ads section, in your hometown paper. Only, on a nationwide scale.
  21.  
  22.         This software package  has everything  you need to know  about our
  23.       service that we are providing,  sample Ad layouts with actual photos
  24.       and even a form that you can print out, to help you place an Ad.
  25.  
  26.       IMPORTANT NOTE: (to put you at ease)
  27.  
  28.         This is the first of three indications on the Ad code that will be
  29.       used to protect  you from crank calls or letters.  We use an Ad code
  30.       system that only allows an interested buyer to contact us first.  We
  31.       can then inform you of the contact's name and phone number,  so that
  32.       YOU can contact them.  In short then,  REALTY SHOWCASE  acts as your
  33.       screening agent.

  35.         More detail follows in our introduction & services text files that
  36.       we provide. You don't need a text file viewing program- it's already
  37.       built into our program.
  38.  
  39.       GENERAL OUTLINE:
  40.  
  41.         The -main- menu, aside from the list below, allows you to select a
  42.       state  that you are interested in, and then a city from the selected
  43.       state's submenu of cities,  in which to actually view the homes that
  44.       are for sale in that area.
  45.  
  46.         After the initial  introduction screen,  a -main- menu will pop up
  47.       that will allow you to:
  48.  
  49.       a- read an introduction of our concept
  50.       b- read about the services that we offer
  51.       c- view a photo sample in a custom format
  52.       d- view a photo sample in a standard format
  53.       e- view a file describing duplication and distribution rights
  54.       f- print out an Ad copy form,  if you decide to use our services
  55.       g- and finally, a menu of all 50 states in which to choose your area
  56.  
  57.         You first select a state  using the arrow keys  and/or mouse. Once
  58.       you select the state of interest,  you then select  the city nearest
  59.       the area that you are interested in.
  60.  
  61.         The city selected  will then display the homes  that are available
  62.       in that area if there are any. The homes will be stored in ascending
  63.       price ranges.
  64.  
  65.         All homes have the identical format  from state to state  and from
  66.       city to city.  And all photos  are 256 color scanned black and white
  67.       images.
  68.  
  69.         Black & white images are used because they make much smaller files
  70.       than do  color files  while at  the same time  showing just  as much
  71.       detail as do color photos.
  72.  
  73.       EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
  74.  
  75.         Your system needs to be able to display at least 640x480x256 color
  76.       images. The TSENG ET4000 chip set, is what we are using on our video
  77.       adapter board. A math coprocessor wouldn't hurt either.
  78.  
  79.         Here is a list of display (monitor) boards  and/or chip sets, that
  80.       should be capable of displaying the images:
  81.  
  82.                        Ahead,  Chips and Technology,  Everex,
  83.                        Genoa, Oak Technologies, Orchid Pro II
  84.                        Paradise,  Speedstar,  Trident, Tseng,
  85.                        Tseng 4000, Video7 & probably others.
  86.  
  87.         The images  from this program  may work on a 16 color system,  but
  88.       they will either look  some what like a water color painting  or the
  89.       actual image itself may be scrambled. It depends of course,  on your
  90.       video adapter board, driver software and monitor.
  91.  
  92.         If your system has at least 1 - 2MB of memory,  a driver to access
  93.       extended memory and a disk cache installed,  the images will display
  94.       faster than otherwise. Even without extended memory or disc caching,
  95.       they are displayed rather quickly anyway as long as the files are on
  96.       your hard disk drive.
  97.  
  98.         Most  computer stores probably will be glad to help you. Give them
  99.       the information just described.
  100.  
  101.       HOW TO USE THIS PROGRAM:
  102.  
  103.         To run this program, make a directory called SHOWCASE (suggestion)
  104.       and copy all of the files to your new directory. Then type START and
  105.       press <Enter> to actually begin the program.
  106.  
  107.         You will see a screen presentation introducing REALTY SHOWCASE and
  108.       then upon  pressing a key,  you will be  presented with  the initial
  109.       menu giving you access to two Ad samples, text files, an Ad form you
  110.       can print  and fill out,  our  duplication / copyright notice and of
  111.       course, a -main- menu of all 50 states.
  112.  
  113.         Each state has a submenu of cities for that state. Choosing a city
  114.       will display any homes in that area, if there are any.
  115.  
  116.         You will know if there are any properties  in any state by looking
  117.       at each state's number of photos column.
  118.  
  119.         When you  select a state and the city menu pops up, each city will
  120.       also have a photo count in the right hand column.
  121.  
  122.         Only places  on the -MAIN- menu ABOVE  the listed states  with the
  123.       greater than sign or > arrow,  will display  its contents,  when you
  124.       put the cursor bar over it and press <Enter>.

  126.         The entire  program  is pretty  straight forward  in its use.  You
  127.       can't hurt anything by trying it out.

  129.         We are not asking for any donations. Our revenue will come from Ad
  130.       space that we sell.
